Confirm your direction with communication

I heard a great sentence recently:

方向越辩越明，前路越走越宽

It opens a door for me. I have had some experience these days, which made me benefit from some communication with my leader, boss and colleagues. They have told me how important communication is.

I am encountering my bottleneck of development now. I have suffered so much this year, I am struggling day and day, night and night in order to find a right way to help me overcome it. But unfortunately, I haven’t get the right way.

But now, I think I am more clear than before. It’s all about communication. Communicating with others makes me obtain more information, broadens my vision, and illuminates my way.

I should learn finance

I am working in the finance industry. All of my work and my product have relationships with finance. But I really don’t have enough knowledge about finance. I focused the functions of products when I was a development in the past, It was OK at that time. But now it is not enough, because I am not just a developer, I am the leader of data visualization, I must tell the stories of every product, and tell them well. So If I don’t know finance well, I can’t explain it well.

On the other side, relying solely on my salary will not set me free. I must learn how to invest with my money. If I keep my money in the bank, it will get less and less. This is another reason why I must learn finance.

Read as much as you can

I have so many things and so much knowledge need to be learnt. Design, development, analysis, management, and so on.

Time is limit, I don’t have enough time to learn them one by one, so I should learn them synchronously. I don’t need to be an expert in each field, I just want to learn the process of making, the standard to check whether it is good or bad. So I can learn them fast through reading. The faster I read, the faster I obtain the knowledge.
