This was made by my wife, in order to commemorate our 6 years of acquaintance.

Accumulating makes you perfect

That’s it.

Working with the passion of making a startup

Out projects, such as data journalisms and big screens, are like making a startup. They are new things(At least in our company they are), so we must take the most passion to get the success.

But actually, we didn’t put enough passion on them. Why? The reason may be that we haven’t take the right attitude on them. We still take them as tasks, works, jobs, but not startups. The lack of passion could only make them be finished, but not be perfect and successful.

Ask myself one question:

If they are the only projects that I could make a business, and I have nothing else left. If they are failed, I will be as poor as a church, what would I do?

How life should be?

Man’s dearest possession is life. It is given to him but once. And he must live it to so as to feel torturing regrets for wasted years, never know the burning shame of a mean and petty past, so live that, dying, he must say: all my life, all my strength, were given to the finest cause in all the world.

We should think it first: How life should be?

Then think it second: How life could be?

Your plan, your skills, your learning, all of them are based on your goal of life.

Life is a road filled with dark, and the goal is the lamp which lights up the road ahead of you.

But if I really can’t find my goal of life in the recent, what should I do?

Confirming the goal of life is not an easy thing. So if you haven’t decided what to be your goal, you can make some challenges for yourself in order to make you keep running.

Trial and error

Failure is the mother of success.

If you don’t know whether a thing is right or wrong, just try it.

Don’t be afraid of failure, it’s the shortcut of success. The more times you have tried, the bigger rate you will be successful.

Everything can be tried and verified. the love, the goal of life, solutions, methods, all of them, no exceptional.

You try it, you know it better, then you can make your principle.

What to do today is based on the result of yesterday.

If you want to be excellent, just learn from the excellent

I read the PPTs of 2019 QConf recently. It really surprised me that we have so long to go compared to the experts in other companies. Their passions of techniques are much bigger than us. They have dived deep into techniques and have used them in their business and have made great values. What about us? We can’t even swim, let alone dive.

Excellent people have great thoughts, learning methods, principles and so on. These are which you are lacking. You couldn’t think them out by yourself. So the best way to gain these things is communicating with the excellent.

But how to communicate with them? There are so many ways attribute to the development of the Internet.

First, you can follow their blogs or homepages. Many people have there own websites. You can get there newest information on the sites.

Second, you can read their books-If they have written some. But remember, you should only read the ones which are written by themselves, not dictated by them but written by other people. Because some books written by the others don’t represent the real thought of the excellent people, they have been processed by the writer.

Third, you can watch their videos, listening to what they have said.

Of course, you can even write a letter or message to them through out the Internet. I have already tried this way and gotten feedback from some people. If you run into a problem and can’t get the solution for a long time, this may be a way.

The meaning of focus

First, centralize the resources to do the most important thing.

Second, focus on it, get thorough on it, make it perfect.

For example, we have been working on data visualization for about one year, but we disperse our energy into four fields. None of them has been developed well. At the end of this year, we have run into a problem: Lacking yield. If I could go back to the beginning of the year, I should focus on one thing, one field(Maybe F10 is a good choice), and get thorough understood of it.

Diversified competition

The right way: Make right competitive strategies, and have the ambition to be the first in the industry.

The wrong way: Take roundabout way in order to avoid competition.

Refuse to be average

I should make the environment that serves excellent people.

The world doesn’t need ordinary, it requires excellent people.

Raise the bar on myself

Do what you usually do, you could only get the same result as usual.

Only raising the bar on yourself largely could make you reach the goals with ease.
